For this workshop, we’ll begin the day with outdoor sketching at Inokashira.

10:30–12:00 | Landscape Sketching at Inokashira
We’ll spend the morning observing and sketching the scenery around Inokashira, looking for interesting compositions, plants, light, shadows, and small details to use as inspiration for the afternoon.

12:00–13:00 | rest

13:00–17:00 | Painting with mineral pigment 
In the afternoon, we’ll return to the studio and develop our morning sketches and observations into a Japanese painting using traditional materials such as mineral pigments and gofun.

No previous experience with Japanese painting is required.
